I expect this has been posted before but i was just trying to IM someone on the site and it said i was only allowed to after 100 posts. I mean i get it you need a minimum limit but 100 seems quite high. I don't know if this is just to get more people to use VT but it seems a really bitchy way of doing it.
Thing is i'd like to privately talk to this person about something that is bothering me NOW, not in the few weeks or w/e that i'll get 100 posts.
Hope something can be done about it...for everyone new members sake, not just my own.

It's to reduce the spamming. It's a fair amount.

Goddamn, this is like the fiftieth thread about this. It's to stop picture trading and camming because that happened a lot when there was no PM limit. If you need someone to talk to, PM a mod or admin. They will gladly talk to you.

You didn't bother me. It's just there are multiple threads about this. Wasn't there a PM sent to you when you first joined that explains that?

If they have personal information on their profile, use an IM service such as MSN.

You could just post a visitor message.

I completely agree the 100 limit is excessive and prohibits people from being able to talk confidentially to the person of their chosing. Having said that staff here are not willing to accept any discussion on this issue and its not about to change.
