So, as the title suggests, I'm getting a professional massage as a gift tomorrow...although I have a few really blatant (bright red, thick) 2-month-old scars on my arm. Will this make it awkward? Do they have to touch arms? It just feels like it will be weird. :/
(Sorry if this is in the wrong place, by the way, I'm new.)

Well it's not like they will actually know where they came from. Alot of people have scars.

Let's assume they're ridiculously blatant.

Well, you can either
1) Tell them it's from something else
2) Tell them and they shouldn't say anything else. It's not illegal, and alot of people do it. They will understand. People cut because they are sad and stressed. People get massages because they are stressed.

I got a manicure a month ago or so. It's hell of a feeling, I must say. o.O Them massaging my arms. It doesn't feel great around my bigger scars.
Just make sure, if they do your arms, they're not rough enough that they stretch the skin that much. Especially if they're new scars.

Honestly, what's it matter if they see it? They are simply there to massage you, not question everything. I'm sure they have probably seen people with FRESH cuts before.

As the others have said it dont think it will really matter, the chances are they will have seen people with various scars or cuts before.
It isnt their job to ask you questions on how you got them. Try not to worry about it too much, they propably wont say anything

This basically. It's similar circumstances to if a doctor has to examine you for whatever reason: you just let them get on with it, because it's not really their place to say anything off topic.
Just enjoy the massage and try to relax - they're more likely to question you/complain if you're tense about it. :P
