So, I once set out to write an epic. Sadly, this never came to life; however, recently I've reembarked on this mission and am once again out to write "Thirteen."
Thirteen is an epic based around human morality and initiative.
In a world besieged with demons and tyrants, our unnamed hero has heart stolen from him and must pursue the culprit through cities, wilderness, and even a necro world to regain his own morality.
Creatures (Thus far)
Opacor, The Dusk Bringer is a monolith of a beast. Totaling in at a height of a modern day six-story building. Opacor's skin is as black as the night in which he travels; however, his skin is accented with white to create the effect of a starfield. Entangling his wrists and ankles are ebon clouds like shackles, forever to restrain him. Face of a horned demon, and eye's of white, this four legged beast is the guardian to the necro world and is aggressive only to those who threaten the well being of the Necran.
Anouette, The Oracle is a gray and worn feathered owl of normal size. With eyes as white as Opacor's, she is the most ancient of the beasts. Her knowledge is greater than that of the most prominent sages and scholars and proves to be a useful asset to the hero in the story.
Malet, The Heart Stealer is a black furred and fire-eyed furret who lives in the desolate plains of the Necro world. A cunning spirit-creature that is immune to mortal blades. In time our hero must face Malet to reclaim his heart.
Feulard, The Skyward is a gray scaled dragon with golden eyes. The once virtuous beast had his heart stolen long ago by Malet and now travels as an oppressive beast, mercilessly destroying everything that he encounters with no second-thought. Feulard is unique in that he has four wings, each of which are tattered and torn.
-------I aim to create Thirteen beasts in this story. Also, I'd love to see some illustrations!
Any advice is welcomed.
--Where do the names come from? They're crushed up words from French and Latin.
