What if King Midas was the man in the moon?
And all his light touched was suddenly new.
We’d wait for the night when our house turns to gold
When we stand in the light till we’re no longer be old

When the full moon rises we’d all shout and cheer!
For a touch of the light would be perfectly pure
Even a crescent would bring us some glee
A little gold light could make us all free

But what shall we do when the moon becomes new?
On the night that light from the moon won’t come through
Maybe the moon will hide for a bit
So we can’t see it do it’s golden light tricks

How would we live if our moon light was gold?
Precious metals light rays making humility fold.
Still moonlight is silver without the kings touch
For silver is humble when gold is too much.
