well, i was just wondering, does anyone just ever think about they're past time, and how they made such horrible mistakes.
Like, i just lay on my bed for hours on end, and just think about it.
because, you think that all the friends you have now, you'll probably won't talk to when you're 30 and school is an experience you'll never forget.
Well, when i think about all this stuff, it just makes me feel worse, because i have chronic depression.
Yeah, i just think FML.

I'm exactly the same.

Thing is, you have a certain amount of control over your future, and whether the friends you have now do stay your friends or not. If you make the effort to keep them your friends they will stay your friends. Of course this isn't true of all of them, but if you think that and give up, it's more likely to come true.

Yep. I feel the same sometimes.
Doesn't help some of my friends only talk about the shit embarressing things I want to forget. :/
But anyway, yes.

Yeah I do it all the time.

It probably isn't the best idea though, considering it makes me feel like shit, which makes me do stupid things. But you need to realise that the past is the past, and there's nothing you can do about it now. Focus on the things that you can control, like focusing on the future. You have control over your future, and dwelling on the past won't make your life any better.

I do all the time. My best friend, who for nearly a whole school year wouldn't talk to me, is great and for reasons I can't understand myself I was mean to him last year. I love him, I'd do anything for him but for some stupid, stupid reason I was mean to him last year. This year I started being as nice as I could but I still spend hours a day wondering why the fuck I did that.

i do alot but it helps me not to think about the bad times in the past but to think about the good times hoping times like that can come back

Basically what Georgia said. Yes, it is depressing, but if all you do is sit around and think about it - then the likelihood is that it will turn into your nightmare if you don't try to change it. Of course there's a chance that things won't go how you're thinking if you try to change it and there's also a chance that it will go that way even if you do try. It's a mystery that you won't know until you get there, but it will be based on your past actions - so what you do now will count towards your future massively.

That being said, it doesn't make you a weirdo or mean that you're a failure in life if you occasionally get daunted or sortof realise "Wow, life is a big pile of shit at the moment" because I think everyone has those times and those who say they don't are lying.

I figuratively kick myself all the time for mistakes that I have made. I have messed so many things that I could have done well, and I struggle so hard to forgive myself. I realize that I am young and have a million opportunities, but self-hating me just views them as a million opportunities to mess up again. I get embarrassed way too easily and I actually won't make phone calls because I'm embarrassed that I will say something stupid. Past embarrassing events play on repeat in my head, constantly reminding me of my stupidity.

But after all, we all learn from our mistakes, so they are for the best.
