Does anyone else share this interest? I am currently making it my dream to attend the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. I applied for the thing called Summer Seminar, which is a summer program designed for high school juniors going onto seniors (the summer in between) and it is a grueling and challenging event with lots of phyisical activities, and educational things to give you an Idea on what it's like it the Academy. It's made to make people not want to do to the Academy so they can weed out the weak ones.

Both Summer Seminar and the Academy are extremely hard to get into and takes a lot of different criteria to be met. First off you have to have a good GPA, Good Score on the ACT/SAT, be of good moral standards, be active in your community and extracurricular activities, and also play varsity sports. Even then you are only offered an appointment to have an interview to determine if you will be accepted.

Annually over 17,000 people apply and only a class of 1,200 or 1,300 get in. The class of 2016 (people applying in 2011. Graduating high school in 2012) is expected to get over 19,000 applications.

Again. Anyone share this interest with me? anyone here currently part of the academy, or thinking about it, or has gone to summer seminar or is applying for summer seminar like me?
