I was reading up about insomnia, it says that some of the causes can be anxiety and OCD -- Which I believe I have both. Some may have seen my other post about me having trouble getting to sleep every night. It also said that if it takes you 30-40 minutesto fall asleep, its likely you have a mild insomnia. It takes me 2hours. This has been going on for about 2 weeks now. How long should I leave it before going to see a doctor?? Now that ive started school, i desperatly need some more rest because its making me tired my the end of the day

Well. Do you stay up the night before? Have you got a good sleeping pattern? Do you eat a lot before you rest, drink lots of caffeine or soda. Is the Television on?
If that's not the case, then I would talk to a doctor, and tell him that you have a sleep disorder, due to your OCD, he might be able to help you further with that.

A lot of things vary your sleep patterns, you'll go through phases like this every so often. As Jesse said there could be a number of reasons as to why you're not sleeping. None of us can give you an accurate reason as to why you're not sleeping so you'd be better off seeing the doctor. But coming from experience I doesn't sound too much like insomnia and honestly two weeks isn't long enough to diagnose it. Have you been under any stress in the last few weeks, has your sleeping environment changed at all? You've got to take all these things into consideration before you look this deeply into it.
