Well i've been sick sense sunday, and I've had a fever to, and it's not going down, actually, it's going up. Right now it's 99.1, and we went yesterday to see a doctor and I got antibiotics, but I still have the fever. I tried taking motrin, but it doesn't seem like it's working.

Does anyone know what you could do to break it?

You should keep the fever. It's one of the body's defenses that will stunt the viral or bacterial growth in your body.

If it's getting very bad, try colling using icepads or keeping a cloth dipped in ice-water around your body.

Best thing is to rest and don't use the PC.

Drink lots of fluids. Water, orange juice. Don't touch lots of things which may have germs.

Stay in the bed, try not to do anything physical. I agree with Faris, don't use the computer if you are sickly. Take your antibiotics, and if you still have fever, go to the doctor again.

Having a fever is nothing to really be worried about, Your body is increasing its core temp. so it will be able to kill off the virus and bacteria. A temp. of 99.1 is not exactly that big of a deal, not meaning to sound rude. I would suggest taking Tylenol(Acetaminophen), is used to relieve mild to moderate pain from headaches, muscle aches, menstrual periods, colds and sore throats, toothaches, backaches, and reactions to vaccinations (shots), and to reduce fever. Acetaminophen may also be used to relieve the pain of osteoarthritis (arthritis caused by the breakdown of the lining of the joints). Acetaminophen is in a class of medications called analgesics (pain relievers) and antipyretics (fever reducers). It works by changing the way the body senses pain and by cooling the body.

Please follow the instructions that are printed on the box or container. I hope that this was helpful.

Drink a lot and sweat it out, as the others have said its your bodies way of killing whatever infection or virus you've got in you.

In my experiances, tylenol works better. Low fevers aren't bad, but there's nothing wrong with taking something to try to help.
