ok so i was just browseing the internet and went to a game site. then all of a sudden it told me i had to donload something to play so i did and then it let me play. a few min. later windows told me i got a trojin so i stated a scan and this one file was in there that i didnt recognise but it wasnt catogarized as a threat so i opened it and out of no where security tool comes and closes my security system and tells me about the millions of fake viruses that i alegedly had. so i turned off my laptop right then and went into safe mode. it is a school isue laptop though so i couldn't istall any anti-spyware programes, so i had o go through the programes and found the file that it was in and deleted it. i also deleted all other suspisous file. it seems like its back to normal so far. i was just wondering if anyone else has had any similar experiances or knows how i could make sure that its gone. thanks

Yeah, will trying to get help on my bio homework. The site attacked my computer and put me in a situation like yours, but they really did give me a ton of virus's as well. Its really stupid that your school doesn't allow you to install anti-spyware programs.

well it turned out the dounload was just flash player, so it must have been the site or game. nothing else is comeing up in the scans any more, so i think im good. if i didnt get rid of it i would have been suspended for a month.
