Although none of the members here would agree with me, I think we should reduce the amount of bad language we use here. In every thread, I see a lot of swearing and, it just doesn't seem right to me.
Some threads are only based upon swearing on people!
Don't you think we should reduce the amount of swearing? Limitations maybe?

There is a difference between venting and excess, but I do not believe in internet censorship, people express themselves in different ways. I won't criticize anyone for how they choose to express themselves because after all this is a help site and it is fully welcomed. Though however, flagrantly and abusively using the words aren't OK and are handled, we just don't try to have language censored as it is part of venting and it is especially sensitive that we handle it case-by-case and not globally.

Yes but, ( maybe without further penalty ) users can be warned to use less bad language. You are right, people share their problems here and it is normal that they use those kinda words.
It just doesn't seem morally right to have so many "fuck"s in a thread.

How is it not morally right? Fuck really is just another word; like dog, mat or cunt.
As far as I'm concerned, if the offensive language is directed at someone then it becomes a problem - if not, it's not a problem.

Like I have said in my original post that is varies case-by-case so it cannot be a site wide warning, I just don't think it's a good idea to shun the way people express when this site is specifically made for it. The people that indeed are in violation and abuse the words then they are handled.

Fuck that shit. We'll say whatever the fuck we want when we want and you just have to deal with it.
But seriously, no. If there is an excess of swearing, it will be dealt with. We are not here to serve a moral obligation.

Opinions are best kept as opinions and to yourself. You've started a shitstorm of fucks and shits, there is only one direction this thread will go.

Freedom of Speech!
Seriously, it's no big deal. Some people just normally use words like: Fuck, shit, etc. in their everyday vernacular. It's not fair, in my opinion, to censor their way of speaking.

Well, that's the problem. Everyone has a different opinion on what's "morally right" and what isn't. I don't believe words like 'fuck' and 'shit' are 'offensive,' and you know perfectly why. It's just pointless to impose such a rule on 'bad' language because words by themselves aren't offensive.
VT has a naturally relaxed 'teenage' atmosphere and imposing language restrictions would seriously tarnish that. We should welcome everyone's opinions regardless of how they choose to emphasize words. I don't want to see VT turn into a place where I have to watch my language.

Oh, I'm so offended by the word fuck and shit. What will I ever so do! Oh, I'll report this user for using such naughty language. Hah, that'll teach him to use better vocabulary!
There's no such thing as nonwords except gibberish. People have to be really weak to be bothered by cursing that easily.
I may not know much, but I do know the difference between chicken shit and chicken salad.

I don't think we should monitor swearing. I don't even see how it can offend or affect anyone (unless you're FUCKING retarded). I feel like I need to swear, since it provides emphasis in posts when I try to get my point across.

Dude, this is the 21st century?

That's why I know so many guys (including myself) that don't use or recommend VT to our more literate and intelligent friends. It is part of VT apparently, and VT thrives or suffers from what it's people do here.

And this is where this thread ends, if you have issues with any post or a user(s) report them and the staff will handle the situation. There is no need for any feuds, it's unnecessary.
