Am i just making things up for my own attention?

I was talking to my friend in drama about being insecure about my appearance and everything about me, also about feeling sad and depressed sometimes , pretending to be joking. She said she thought i was just making things up because i my life is like problem free and i'm always happy in school. Do you think that its possible that i have like sub conscious had these thoughts just because i felt i didn't have any problems, like i was trying to get attention from myself?

Just because you're happy or acting happy at school doesn't mean theres nothing wrong in your life. It doesn't matter how right things look at times there will always be something at some point that brings that down. I know a lot of people that put on a smile when they have a right to sit there and cry their heart out, its called masking. Your friend shouldn't have accused you of that to be honest, she doesn't really know what goes on behind closed doors. You however do know. Have a think about it, do you really think you're doing it for attention?

hahha i dont think its just him being and ahole cuz 40% of the time we get along heaps well, its just that he does everything wrong but i feel like everyone loves him more haha yeaah..

Perhaps peeps think he needs more support than you. I know wat ya mean bout not tellin ya friend, I'm as bad as you at lettin peeps no how i really feel. At least its easy ta tell peeps here, how ya feelin. So there is no wud u cud talk to?

I sometimes wonder the exact same thing about myself. The way I see it is, if it's subconcious, then there is attention missing from elsewhere in your life (maybe your parents?) and you are just trying to "fill" this hole. That's a problem in it's self.
