Is there a way I can transfer songs from my Ipod to my computer? I hate this Itunes stuff. It's so confusing.

Mine won't work that way. I'm expecting you have a different. I have an Ipod mini so I can only use file storage for notes and calendars.

minis are cheaper, hold less songs and are smaller. Ive found something way better than an i-pod though. a 4GB ipod mini is £139 (convert these if you want to find out the value in your currency) ive found a 20GB mp3 player which looks and is just as good as an ipod but its £143 Thats an extra 16GB (around 4000 songs) for just £3!!!!!!!!!!

Well I like the Ipod. It's definetly trustable unlike my last MP3 player which wouldn't accept anything out of the MP3 format and wouldn't convert it at all. It also has games, so that's definetly a plus.

On a side note, is there a way to download games for it?

What? I'm sure there's a way because in the manual they said that "You will be able to use your Ipod to transfer songs from one comptuer to another" but they never explain it.

well actually it depends what you want. i think you can get it to update the itunes software wherever you go so that it will recognize what songs you have, but u will never be able to extract songs from your ipod and do with them what you please

Damn. Because what happened is that I got a virus in a folder that held all my songs (I downloaded a virus some how  ) and whenever I tried to add a song to my library it would just close itunes because of the virus.

hmm maybe you should reinstall itunes. but dont delete the music folder. i find it hard to believe itunes music store would give you a virus, i bet if u just reinstalled it would be fine

Well I downloaded it from limewire :P So it's not Itunes. Itunes is actually good because it won't let me open the file. I just deleted the folder too which left a "!" next to all the songs that got deleted.

No, even that sucks because you have to plug it into a wall and what if you're in a car or on a hike (most unlikely if you're that into you music).

How much did it cost? I'm having trouble too. I need to get a charger for Great Britain and Greece.

you can get songs from an ipod quite easily.

the first thing is to get the ipod preferences in itunes and tick 'use as hard disk' or whatever it is.

that will allow it to be accessed properly.

then you can get any one of several utilities to do this. try Ephpod (http://www.ephpod.com/), that worked quite nicely for me.
