I just turned 16 in January and am 5'9". (5'10" with shoes on) I can grow a beard in like a week, and have tons of hair on my arms, legs, etc. I have broad shoulders and people always tell me that I look older. My dad is 6'0", and his 3 brothers are 6'2", 6'4", and 6'1". My mom however is only 4'10" and her dad is 5'6" and her mom is 5'2". People say I look a lot like my mom.
Do you think I am done growing? I have grown 1 inch in like 2 1/2 years so I'm a little worried. Side note: I'm fully aware 5'9" is the average height in america
Question for girls: Do you think that 5'9" is short for a guy? Would you date a guy 5'9". Do you prefer taller guys?

You'll probably grow a little more, puberty aint done yet.
And if you dont, your still at a good height.

Your height is fine, your a tall lad. I wouldnt be worried, there is something like boys dont finish growing until 18 or something, I cant really remember.
But yes I would date a guy your height. But, I wouldnt date someone just for their height, I would date them for their personality.

Although it is possible you grow more, it is likely that you are done growing, or mostly so.
There is really nothing to worry about. Sure, you just aren't going to be Michael Jordan, but most people easily survive the disappointment ;).
Moreover, consider this: if you are of average height, it statistically means that one men over two is smaller than you. 50%. Probably more than 50 million people for the US alone. Given this, I'd say you still have huge chances to find a nice girl, get a great job and have a wonderful life overall. Without ever having to worry about constantly bumping your head against the top of the doors, struggling to find clothes that fit, or dealing with too small cars.

You'll grow more but don't be surprised if you end up the shortest of your brothers.
