Ok, so I got this game when it came out last month since everyone said it was god spawn and it's bloody huge! I can't get my bearings in it what so ever.
Does the game eventually feel small when you get used to the map because that's not happening for me. I've only been able to put a couple hours into it but I just get lost, it took me about 45 minutes just to get used to the Citadel's layout and the going in and out of nebulas and galaxies just confuses me. One minute your traversing through space in your ship "Sweden" but the next area means you need fuel and then you have to pay like a couple thousand credits to get to safety. then with the addition of lets call it magic and comanding your troops about, the millions of side quest in the ever expanding nebulas.... I'm confused

Your post confused me. :P Mass Effect 2 is pretty straight forward. Just go where it tells you or explore the galaxy in the Normandy. I immersed myself in the game, so y'know, it was fun. :P

It's very good, I'm just overwhelmed with the amount of travel and it has confused me as to where to go next.
Couple questions though, the assualt rifle is kind of crappy is this just because you eventually upgrade all your weapons in RPG fashion?
And why did they add that film grain effect to go on as default? It just makes the game look like ass.

Yes, you find stronger assault rifles as you progress, though there are only a few. Also, you upgrade Shepard's weapon strength and the weapon things, such as cyro and fire, etc., which make your weapon stronger.

I never noticed that on the 360. Care to explain what you mean?

When you start up the PS3 edition there is this weird grain effect as if there is way too much static on screen, for a second I though it was just extremely bad porting even though they said Sony got the better deal. In options you can take it off and the game just looks much clearer.
Another question: is framerate drop normal in the game? During cut-scenes is where i've noticed it most.

360 didn't have that. Weird.

360 doesn't have that either. :P Framerate was smooth as my face after shaving this morning for me. I guess 360 does have the better version.

Apparantly so. It only really happens if there is alot of action going on screen and it's usually the audio is a couple miliseconds out of place. Is there no bugs or anything on the 360? I heard read up on IGN and they said there was always the odd framerate hick up or bug here and there.

From the start menu go to Options - Graphics two options should appear, Brightness and Film grain. Mine was already set to on.

From my experiences, I've never had the problems you're talking about. Especially lip sync getting messed up.

The internet lies! :P
Anyway nerd quesitons coming at ya! So your weapons regenerate ammo after a period of time?
I prefer stock armour since I can customise it, should I be using the other more intimidating armour?

Anyway nerd quesitons coming at ya! So your weapons regenerate ammo after a period of time? I wish. :P In Mass Effect 1, the weapons would over heat, which is a such better system. Bioware contradicted their lore by bringing in the whatever they're called. I forgot.

You mean the N7 armor? I use it more than other armor since it doesn't force you to the wear a helmet, though the Inferno armor is mad sexy and so is another armor, of which I forget the name of. :P
Also, explore every star system and nebula you can because you'll find anomalies and such that you can act on, and getting minerals from mining planets is how you upgrade your weapons, biotics, and ship.

Yea, this bit confuses me, they keep asking me to probe random planets for materials to get upgrades and stuff but it's a bit tedious. How do you upgrade your equipment?

I'm guessing Mordin is the Professor? I'm on the way to Omega to meet her/him now (don't you just love nerd talk?)

Yes, he is. Once you pick him up, you'd be able to use upgrades you buy and find by using the minerals that you have since that's how you "make" them. It's in his lab. You'll understand once you get him and stuff. :P

Did you ever get so confused you found yourself studying the entire codex?
Is it just me or is that girl Kelly a bit of a tease?

Did you ever get so confused you found yourself studying the entire codex? No, sense my t.v.'s too small to read the codex, and I know most of the lore. :P
Is it just me or is that girl Kelly a bit of a tease?
You can get it in her, if you feel the need.
