Has anyone ever contracted jock itch from a jockstrap and if so how did you cure it?

it mostly comes from sweating a lot. Just make sure u wash your strap regularly and of course your unit. Powder helps alot.

I've never had it, but if i were you i'd make sure to clean your pubic area really well right after working out and maybe trim some of the hair too if you have a lot... and make sure to wash your jock strap after every workout.

If you use Talconpowder of some kind of powder while wearing it you can minimise the likelihood of getting it but if you want to just help it a bit i find that Sudocream is the best one to use :)

If you got jock itch, go to the drug store and get some medicated powder. They have powder that actually says "jock itch" on it. BTW you don't necessarily have to get it from a jock. Like the others have said, it's just from bein sweaty and germy there. Oh, and BTW don't get the medicated powder for feet. Speakin from experience, it'll burn your balls.

Good Advice.
Here is a website to get you information

But ya they have creams and powders to assist in treatments and most (if not all) drugstores carry them... sometimes around the foot stuff..
lotrimin is (one of many) that is a good product that helps it:
