Do you agree with talking to strangers online. With sites like Omegle and Myyearbook.
How old do you think you should be before you're old enough to have a social website?

The age at which you understand the dangers of it and how to keep yourself safe. So it just varies from person to person.
I don't disagree with it but you've always got to be aware and cautious of who you're talking to and the amount of information you give them.

As long as you're cautious and have a decent amount of common sense, anybody should be able to talk to people and have online friends/relationships.

Well, you can't set a law saying if you don't have common sense you can't. That would take out half of america.

as long as you don't give away any personal information, a general conversation is all right. you just need to be cautious....use common sense...

No personal info is being released, so it's not really a problem. 13 is the established and ideal age.

I am using omegle right now. I am perfectly fine. You just need to have the sense not to give out your email, and don't go to the cam section either.

This.
You've also got to remember that all friends start off as strangers anyway.

Then you might as well rule out ever talking to anyone you don't know, real life or online. People who tell you to not talk to other people online are basically telling you to be socially inept. True, there are many users of the internet who abuse the right to talk to other people openly. That is why everyone most always take some form of caution. You can make enemies online and you can make friends online too. Be constantly aware and you'll be fine.
There shouldn't be an established age to have your own social network page. As long as the person is aware of the dangers of talking to strangers online, they will be fine. This is the reason why privacy settings were put in place. I always keep my facebook profile set to the highest security settings to make sure I don't leave out valuable information on the net without my consent. Is that being a bit phobic? Perhaps and I won't doubt that. But, in terms of safety, it's a major help.
