While I don't think I've ever posted this in this forum, I wanted to know a bit about this and see how common it is.

I have a back acne problem. I'm not sure what it's caused by, or why it's there. It's mostly between my shoulder blades in a semi-circle. It's maximum length is... half a foot along my spine. It's more prominent in the spine area, and then curves upward as I go closer to the shoulder blades. It starts out at the top of my neck where my hair ends. Most of the time they're painful. Anyone have a clue of how to get rid of this and how common this is? Thanks?

Are you sure it's acne, and not a rash of some sorts? If it's painful, then it might be a rash, or bed bud bites or something. But if it is acne try this.

Take a towel. Dip it in warm water, and vegetable/olive oil. Rub the towel against your back for a few minutes. I heard of that method.

Just like acne on your face. Best thing you can do is wash it daily, or use acne wash for your face on your back. It happens to alot of people. It's usually only painfull if there is a pimple.

If you are really concerned see a Doctor. Keep clean it may be caused by sweat as alot of sweat causes symptoms like you described. It may also be genetic - Acne can be passed down through the Genes. Ask your Parents if they have noticed anything like it before. Since they are painful I would highly recommend seeing a Doc - due to the fact that it may not be Acne, but something more serious. Better to be safe then sorry.

Any Questions - don't be afraid to ask.
