Okay. So i'm gonna quit self harm.
Recently I fell pregnant, unfortunatley I later miscarried, I was only 7 weeks, but I loved my baby more than anything at all. I decided to choose a sex for the baby (female) and a name (Hayley)
Anyway, so today, I decided to stop self harming for her. Because I love her. The point in this thread I suppose is to tell you that I am quitting, and also to tell you how I plan on doing it, in the hope it might help some of you. It's basically the butterfly project, but instead of butterflys, I have written 'Hayley' all over my arms. I know It will stop me because not only will I never be able to cut her, It will also remind me every time I go to cut, why I am not going to do it.
I wrote a note to Hayley in the 'depression, loss and greif' boards, entitled 'to my darling baby girl' if anyone wants to read it <3

I'm so happy that you've finally found the motivation you need to stop cutting but I'm really sad that it had to happen in such tragic circumstances. It's such a sweet, beautiful take on the butterfly project I really hope it works. If you do think you can do this for her, then that's really good news.
I wish you all the luck in the world! I really hope you're ok :)

Thankyou for taking the time to comment :)
I know this is going to be hard, but I am determined, It started off because When I lost her I wanted to cut, but I told myself she wouldn't want me cutting over her, so I decided to use that to help me quit for good, I hope that she knows how much I love and care for her, and that I am doing this for her. <3

Sorry for making you cry :(
Your right she is safe with the angels look at it this way, at least you know your baby is safe she's never going to have to live on this earth which you probably know can be hard :/ instead she will be right up there in heaven, looking after you as you missed out on the chance to look after her. And remember she will remain perfect, the world won't get a chance to ruin her. Xxxx
Well done for getting rid of the blades :)

I'm glad that you have the strong-willed personality to attempt to stop harming yourself. It's probably hard to get to that point, can't really say I'd know, but it's definitely a step-by-step process I'd say. As you can see from the above posts, you definitely have support behind you to move forward with your life and leave cutting in the past. :)
