This is really morbid. Really weird...Kind of silly of me to ask but...

Has anyone ever died (I read all the silly things a long time ago--cancer dude---so please don't mention that. Made me laugh)? I mean, has anyone ever actually killed themselves or accidentally died or something and the site ever actually found out. What would happen if this happened? Nothing? I'm serious when I ask this because I have wondered this about many social networking sites. Where family members log on and alert everyone of the persons passing.

Say, if I were to post that I was going to go kill myself and then log off for good and a couple of weeks later a friend of mine logs on and tells a staff member I actually did. Would my account be deleted? Or what...

I'm really sorry about how retarded this question is.

I don't think your account would be deleted seeing as, from what I've read, it would mess up other threads and whatnot.
But I'm not a staff member so I wouldn't know exactly.

One of the original admins sadly passed away, but not by suicide, he had cancer.

I have heard members who unfortunately did that posted in the Psych Ward, but I can't confirm that.

We've never dealt with an actual death to my knowledge. 'Cancer dude' as you call him was a fraud as far as I know. But your account would just remain as is since we'd be very hard pressed to even find out about a member's death, we have no set policy for what is to be done in such cases. It would simply depend on the circumstances.

Sam wasn't an admin. He created the GovTeen network along with his wife. Josh (one of our founding admins) hasn't died as far as we all know. Sam, however, died a few years ago.

Oh, forgive me for saying that. I thought Sam was one of the admins. I been on VT for so long, I get names mixed up. :(
