where are you going skiing? depending on where you go, the snow is different. But I seriously think you should take a lesson if you've never been because skiing isn't hard, but I don't think you'd want to be pushed down a mountain and have to figure it out yourself. Its kinda hard to explain.

Oh, I'm getting lessons, but is there any tips that are good, like something they don't teach you?

ohh okay, well usually they tell you everything you need to know. But don't stop yourself when you first come off the lift, you'll fall. Be careful of snow boarders because they're always sitting on the mountain (because they have two feet attatched to a single board it's easier to just fall) If you stop, turn your body sideways so that your skis are parallel to the hill because it's easier to stay in place.

focus on doing turns and keeping a good speed and not just like going straight down

I agree the best advice is to take a lesson. I'm a pretty good skier and I always take a lesson and I always learn something. Second, if you are tired, take a rest or quit for the day. Accidents happen when your tired.

This is true. I also find that my 720 double back flips are easier to rotate if my feet are shoulder length apart.
