(Not really sure where this goes, but correct me if I'm wrong.)

Ok, so, today, I was over at my friend's house for the Super Bowl. She was sitting on the couch with her sister, her parents were on the love seat, and I was on the recliner with my friend's autistic brother. He was sitting on my lap with his legs spread out a little. He grabbed my hand and tried to put my hand on his crotch.

Does this mean he likes me, or was he just trying to be a playful kid?

Most likely he's just playing around or doesn't exactly know what he's doing.

Good chances that that is probably it.

Many people with autism like touching people to get their attention/just to play around. I don't think he meant it sexually.

My brother has autism, and it seems to me like something he'd do because he doesn't know what it means.

Isn't some autism cases where the person is unable to communicate the right way? They can be as smart as us but they don't know how to communicate like the rest of us? So wouldn't it make sense that this austistic boy was just trying to communicate something but didn't know how to do it the right way?

I heard of a story that was on TV about an autistic genius. He was extremely smart at stuff but he just couldn't communicate answers the right way so he seem, excuse my term because it is not meant with any harm, dumb. He was a genius but he couldn't communicate so everyone thought he was just stupid (again please pardon the term).

As you said, he's autistic. He probably was just playing, and he wasn't aware that you'd percieve it as liking you.
