No, Valentines day is when people are supposed to "express how much they care" for that "special someone". Six year olds pass candy because that's what they are raised to see.

Honestly, I hate Valentines Day. Mainly because I have horrible experiences with it. This year I will have a boyfriend on this heart breaking holiday and I am going to hate every minute of it (they day, I mean).

At my High School even the mention of a condom calls for corpral punishment. If the teachers catch a glimpse of a condom in your wallet or purse you're sent to the principal. Why? They're afraid it makes us think we're allowed to have sex (not that they can stop us). Guess how many girls have babies and/or are pregnant here...A lot. I'm surprised they aren't putting us on lock down for Valentines day. "Oh no! Even the single kids might go have sex on this day of love! Quick! Hide them---IN SEPERATE ROOMS!"

I never gave a shit about Valentines Day at school I gave flowers out and I used to hang out with a lot of people not too different from what I did any other day. I'm not too much into the lovey dovey either, I can show my love for a person everyday, it's not like I need to have an excuse or a specific day lol. Just an excuse for a lot of people to get laid and a lot of people to get drunk and other nonsense :rolleyes: not my favorite day at all. I'm probably going to hang out with a few friends or work. Valentine's day is no fun once you're out of school, quite frankly. I used to love it more, even when I was single, because friends would give each other cards and candies.

Now, I get a card from my parents and I'm probably going to watch chick flicks with Jay. Of course, there's the gift exchange with us, but both of us don't really care too much about Valentine's Day :P
