Nothing is impossible when it comes to removing parental controls. (I hate the quote "nothing is impossible," it's so untrue.)

Maybe you could earn a few hundred dollars and buy your own computer.

When I was younger, my parents put them on. I had no problem with it, I wasn't one of those people who went around looking for sicko stuff on the internet anyways.

my parents can't put parental controls on mine - only i know the root password.

Hell no. If my parents did that, I'd restore my computer every day until they gave up. Or buy a crap ton of massive hard drives just to waste their money.

Quick_Sylver
February 8th, 2011, 03:28 AM
Mother/Father keep trying, but I change my password every week or so, and I usually sleep with my laptop in my room with me, so no real chance to.

I've been on the internet since I was 8, and had a laptop since I was 12, so they "mostly" trust me. The controls would be for merely logging me off at x time, but yeah, Not happening. >.>

There used to parental control locks on our family computer, however, when I was 9 I took them off (there was a video showing how to on a site), after that my parents gave up any means of control over me.....

My parents dont really know how to use computers too much so to put on parental controls would just baffle them

Obviously. I'd never do that to my kids. Parental control software is for filthy, anti-human social conservatives.

You mean stuff you'd install to control your parents? I'd LOVE to get a copy of that XD.

Seriously speaking, no. I'm the one who mostly keeps the computers at home in shape anyway, so no way they even try to install that. And if they ever tried to, booting a Linux LiveCD to circumvent it and place control on their accounts would be promptly done ;).

i use a school provided laptop that uses lightspeed. it doesnt block this site but it does block most every otherthing. no games or forums or anything. i did find out hoe to get around the hole thing though. just go into "Safe Mode with networking". it block all kind of programs that try to control your computer.

They're installed on my laptop but not activated. When I first got it I was subtly threatened with the whole 'misuse this and it's net nanny time.'

Mine doesn't but there was one on my old computer, it basically blocked anything with the slightest of anything in it, like one swear word BOOM you're blocked. New computer there's nothing, not like I need anything..

Never...I dare someone to try to even get my laptop away from me long enough to turn it on. It's mine. I bought it. No one is getting it from me.

It depends on the type of phone, but you can install parental control software on most smartphones.

My parents haven't, and even if they did, I'd easily be able to get past em probably. Like I did when AOL was what we used. I changed the settings so I could play online games. :P

TheSleepingInsomniac

The name you give to a program with controls so strict it's like the nanny of a five year old is looking over your shoulder
i cracked it before they installed it
