nope, I didnt get the talk... the reason why its hard to talk about it with you parents is because they made you... it easy to talk about it with friendz, [[they do it too, even tho they say they dont]]... I can talk about it with any one except my parentz...

I know what you mean. I figure my friends all do it but we don't really talk about it and some deny they do. It's like a big nono that we get urges and feel weak because we can't resist it I guess.

It's probably embarassing for most guys because it's so personal. I personally find it a lot easier to talk about this kind of stuff with friends when we're joking around than with my parents.

No, my parents didn't talk to me about masturbating. Just kinds figured it out on my own :D

I feel like going on a big rant about why it's hard to talk to parents AND for a lot of people even their friends - but I won't cause it would be like a 4 page essay =D

It's just viewed as a personal thing. What else is like jerking off? The feeling of pleasure, eventually stuff starts to come out of your body (anything like this is usually "weird" to talk about - using the bathroom, breast-feeding, etc). People think it's some incredibly different and unique thing that should be kept private, not done at all, or only talked about to one specific person.

It's dumb, I think. lol

I have never talked about jacking off with anyone, accept my best friend, and he denied doing it, of course. it akward because jacking off is considered a personal thing that should be done in private.

me and my cross ountry team talk about jacking off all the time. We're all really close (and guys) so it's easy to talk about, but with adults I've never talked about it just beacuse it seems like something you would say in front of your grandma or for that matter adults in gerenal.

With parents and adults, no, never had a talk, thats too awkward for me. With friends I dont care, we tlk bout it alot, some with more details than the others and everything. Theres only 2 of my friends that deny doin it, but thats alright.

never with parents or another adult. I talk about it to my friends but usually only in a joking or humorous way. We wouldn't have a serious discussion or ask questions like people do on VT. I think that part of the problem is that if you are still discovering yourself and you ask a question which in some way reveals your situation in a negative light, you cannot turn the clock back and un-ask the question. i think that's where a forum like this really comes into its own.
