I'm REALLY concerned that I may be suffering from BPD.
I've done my fair share of research and I honestly am concerned.
I've learned that the symptoms are:
Intense Anger and Agressive Behavior
Abandonment Sensitivity
Unstable or Intense Relationships
Unstable Self-image or Sense of Self
Impulsive Behaviors
Mood Changes
Self-Harm or Suicidality
I suffer from all of those except the impulsive behavior.
I also learned through my research that one needs to have 5 out of those 7 symptoms to be diagnosed.
I'm seriously concerned that I may suffer from this mental illness and I really need help..

If you have almost all the symptoms it certainly sounds like you having BPD could be a possibility but I would go to a doctor/therapist because there could be many other explanations. I know I too suffer from 6 of those symptoms some quite severely but I don't think I actually have it as I've read it only affects 2% if the population so the chances of having it are pretty low.
But if you are worried the best thing you can do is seek out professional advice, talk to your parents tell them your concerns.
I hope everything works out ok for you

tbh, most teenagers have about 5 or 6 of these symtoms. It's unlikely that you'd get diagnosed with it because it could just be a teenage thing, if it continues into your mid-late 20's, then you might be diagnosed with it.
I wouldn't get too worried about it, but if you're worried about some of these symptoms getting in the way of your life way too much, then maybe you should talk to a professional about it. It probably isn't BPD, but it's worth getting a professional opinion, and maybe you could get help to reduce the symptoms even if it isn't BPD.

Oh, you can still be diagnosed with it if you get a psychiatrist that'll do that. But my psychologist has always told me the same thing. Most teenagers have some BPD symptoms. She told me that if they persist through to 30 or so, then she would take it seriously. Mood disorders aren't optimum to diagnose in younger patients, though kids are being diagnosed earlier and earlier, which I don't agree with. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at 15, though I guess they were just lucky with me. Bipolar disorder is also in my genetics, so I guess there's more reason for me to be diagnosed then.
But I mean, self-image issues? I don't know a typical teenage girl who doesn't have self-image issues. Mood changes as well. Self-harm and suicidal thoughts, you don't even have to be depressed to self-harm. Impulsive behaviours: unprotected sex, drug abuse, eating disorders. Can be a whole other problem.
I agree, I wouldn't worry about it.
