I'll use this thread mostly for my own use. If I ever lose my drawings and/or the files in my computer disappear for some reason I'll have this place to look back at 'em.

Please review them as they come, but don't expect a lot of drawings because of this (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1043469). Then again, please enjoy the drawings I post, and do review them. Don't sugar coat it, I want some solid C&C.

First, it is nice that you are keeping drawing - don't let yourself turned down because others around you disapprove your art tastes and keep enjoying drawing!

Now, on the non-sugar-coated-review...

Stop copying. Really. If you want to make progress in drawing, you need to dive and face the dangers and thrills of creating your own characters. It will teach you at least three major techniques every artist needs to know to go anywhere:
- Strokes: drawing continuous lines with no visible shaking or breaks is a must. IMHO the first thing to learn;
- Structures: representing volumes and their thickness, and understanding perspective;
- Shades: shading is essential to give thickness to volumes, and texture to surfaces.

Does that mean your drawing is bad? Of course not. But - without intend of being negative - it is "just a copy". At most, I could critique on how different it is from the original. Note that even so, your lines clearly lack "firmness" - they are "shaking", especially in the hair. Whatever else I could comment on that picture would be of little use, since it would actually apply to the original, and not your reproduction.

If you really want solid C&C, then jump in the shark pool and submit original (read: not a copied picture) drawing - don't be afraid of doing so if you think it looks awful: do your best and we can also do our best to help you improve. And believe me: there is much more to learn from an average personal creation than from an excellent copy.

Have fun!

You have a real talent. But, you should add a certain theme or style to make it just a bit more original and like your own. But it's good (:
