I thought this was interesting. Mark Kelly announced that he would fly the next shuttle mission. There's an article on ABC talking more about it.
I personally think he's doing the right thing. First of all, this is supposed to be the last shuttle mission from NASA before our shuttle program stops. After that, all of our astronauts will have to go through Russia to get to space. And seeing as he's Commander, it's even better for him. Obviously if his wife (she's the congresswoman who got shot in Tuscon, AZ, Gabrielle Giffords) wasn't improving like she is, I would have stayed home. But she's been doing really good for getting shot in the head, so I think he's making the right decision.
What do you guys think about his decision?
