A LOT of things have happened to me in the past few years. After everything I am now having trouble feeling mental pain or crying. Every once in a while I will have a really really emotional day where I will cry about every little thing, but those RARELY happen. I also have trouble looking back at my childhood memories; especially around the times where I was having issues in my life. What is wrong with me? Is my mind just trying to protect me?

You're fine. We all have times where we have down days. Where we remember things, that make us upset. It's alright to cry. Everyone shows their sadness in different ways, you don't have to cry in order to show you're upset.

When people have had bad memories in their childhood, they tend to forget them, because they were so dramatic that they don't want to bring them up again. Such as parents divorcing, abuse, death of family member etc.

If you have days were you feel upset, just calm yourself down. You can always come here if you feel really down. We are always here to help.

Nothing is wrong with you. This is a phase that is normal for everyone to go through. This could be way your way of handling things mentally, by blocking things out and making yourself numb. It's a defense mechanism. I had the same problem about 3 months ago and then considering I held it all in, I completely snapped and broke down. My advice to you is why don't you consider making an appointment with a psychologist? Thats what I did and ever since I've been going, she really helped me dig out all my demons and all the problems that are effecting my day to day life without me knowing. Every action stems from an emotion, and once you figure out what action triggers certain emotions, everythng else is easier to understand.

Hope I helped! :D:D
