Why is a blow job called a blow job when as far as I know there's no blowing involved? Or am I missing something?

It's just an expression. From a distance I suppose it could like like they were trying to blow you up like an inflatable doll.

Ha ha, I just researched it. It comes from Victorian times when it was a "below job" still meaning oral sex. this was contracted to b'low job and finally blow job.

It's called a blowjob because when someone sucks the penis, it's supposed to feel really good when they blow lightly on the head of the penis after it's been covered in saliva. It makes the tip feel cold and the nerves at the tip react to the change in temperature, making you feel even better :D
