It's pretty common to have showers with no stalls like at my school. you get used to it and don't even think about it

Unless its mixed showers I think you are meant to shower naked, its just people are shy. Even if I'm going to shower at home, I have a quick rinse at the pool, because I worry about all the chemicals / bugs etc in the water hanging around on my skin, so I'd say if you aren't rinsing properly down there you might find you get spots or a rash or something.

I think everyone has different comfort levels though : whenever I've showered at my local kayaking club some guys get naked some guys dont, and no one says anything, but personally I wouldn't want to sit in a car after with skanky river water hanging around my junk.

It is quite normal to do this. Most of the pools, gyms, saunas that I have been to have some separate cubicles as well as a general open showering area and the vast majority of people use the open area. I have seen comments on this site about people showering in underwear or trunks, but I have never seen this except in the US. In iceland it is mandatory to shower nude before you put your swimsuit on and then go in the pool.

Not really I do for football - It may seem strange but ince you try it is is ok you get used to stuff real fast.
Besides at least you are all about the same age one time we had to shower with all ages from the 7th grade through the 12th grade that was a bit wierd.

I shower at school too and we are all nude, its not big deal and after a few days its just normal. And getting a boner is no big deal, but it rarely happenes: because we have such a tight time schedule.

Just follow the other guys leads. If they leave their trunks on then it would be ok for you to do the same, but if they are naked then it would be weird to be the only guy in trunks. So yeah, it will be weird at first but just realize that they all got the same stuff that you got and there is nothing to be ashamed of. After awhile it gets easy, you won't even think about it. you might get a boner, but it happens.

Trust me, I used to be scared to death about showering, so one day I just got out of the pool, saw that there was like 3 guys showering nude, and I just made up my mind that I was going to go for it, I left my trunks at my locker and went for it, got in the shower, and got a huge boner, and there was nowhere to go XD but no one said a word and I did my business and got out.

dude guys shower naked together all the time. and as for the boners? well guys our age get boners for no reason at all times. and if they ask just say "why you looking" and go from there. and if uve ever been to wisconsin dells (amusement city) there are multiple waterparks with which guys shower naked the whole time. its pretty uncommon to shower clothed while there.

I don't shower when I swim at the Y or someplace like that, but in school when we're in the pool and go back to the locker rooms to change, we're supposed to. The last time I had PE was 2 years ago and there were only 2 other boys in the class besides myself, so we just stayed in our bathing suits when we showered.

I agree with this as well. Thinking about it right now, I wouldn't shower naked with other guys around because I don't want to get hard or something and have everyone think I'm gay or something like that, but in actuality I'd probably just do what everyone else is doing just to keep myself from standing out.

it just depends on the situation, go with the flow
and if you really dont feel comfortable naked, wear your swimsuit

my school we have to take swimming - we all have to shower nude before we are allowed in the pool area and shower nude after the pool. we have open showers which can handle like 20 guys. i go to an all boys school which most of stay during the week.
after school hours we can use the pool between 7 -9pm. most of us go nude during the night free swim. during class we all wear our manatory school color swimming wear.

After swim class, you don't shower in your trunks? Thats what alot of people do here haha, they give you like 15 minutes in the locker room, alot of people just rinse off for about 30 seconds in your swim trunks here. We're allowed to get naked, but alot are just afraid.

I think it would be fine because that's what the shower is there for and people your age can't make fun of you for that. I wouldn't do it if everyone was showering with a suit on.
