This is a story I wrote for a RP. It's anime-based and the characters aren't from any shows or anything. It's kind of sad, in my opinion.

Two people within the darkness of the black night, a back drop of absolutely nothing giving them no silhouette in the land. A man, and a woman. The woman upon her knees, holding her stomach in up most pain, blood seeping out around her fingers, her blond hair falling over her face and covering a look of pain and anguish.
The man stands before her, looking down upon the woman with eyes of sadness and anger. His sword is drawn, the blade beside the woman’s cheek. His dark violet hair is brushed back from his face, hanging loosely down his back in a manner that suggests it had once been held by a ribbon. His hand shakes as he glares down at the girl, struggling to find the words needed to speak.
“Lady Re-”
“Call me by the name you used to, Akashi. Please.” The girl whispered. “If I plan to die here today...I at least want you to use my name...”
The man looked away for a moment, taking in a deep breath before speaking again. “Reimei.” He said quietly. “Why do you make your life so hard...?”
A small, gurgled laugh escaped the girls throat, blood beginning to drip down her chin as she looked up at him, her hair falling from her face to reveal porcelain white skin and neon green eyes. “I do not purposely make it this way, Akashi. You even know that.”
The sarcasm in her voice, the look on her face, it angered him. He tightened his grip on the sword and gritted his teeth together. “You have the blood of so many souls on your hands and you make this to be a joke! How can you say that you do not do this purposely, Reimei?”
She laughed again, stopping short. A tremor of pain shot from the wound, forcing her to grip her side in anguish. “Some times, we do things for reasons unknown.”
“Name one.”
“Sparing the life of a parent.”
He looked down at her, kneeling slowly so he was at eye level. “You speak as if you loved your mother.”
“And you speak as if to smite me.”
He flinched, pushing the tip of his blade into the ground to support himself. “You are dying, Reimei, and you act as if it is just another day. You do not even seem to care that this may be your final breath.”
The girl shrugged, doubling over as she began to cough, blood spurting from her mouth. She stayed that was for a moment, letting the intensity die off before finally sitting back up. She held her eyes shut in pain. “Death to me is nothing but a welcomed break. If there was a heaven, it would reject me. If there was a Hell…well. I do suppose I’m already there.” She opened her eyes, Akashi’s diverted from her anguished glare. “Killing me only gives me what I want. My mother did not hire you to give me what I wanted, did she?”
Akashi looked back to her, his eyes angry, a seeming tear in the corner of his right eye. “Do you see this sword, Reimei-Seishen? Do you see this sword I hold before you?” He growled, his teeth chattering, his voice angry.
“Yes.”
“The sword of Kamen-butoukai. Your sword…your fathers sword…the sword you used to slay so many people with. This sword will send you to the deepest and darkest pits Hell, Reimei. It will drain you of your power and destroy you…”
She stared at him with a pained glare, gripping at her wound. “You really wish me dead, don’t you, Akashi?”
He looked to her, shaking his head. “I don’t want to kill you, Reimei...I really do not want to kill you.” A tear ran down his cheek as he stood, turning his back to her. “You have killed so many people and yet you feel no remorse...”
“Remorse is for those who kill by accident…” She said lowly, spitting up more blood as she pulled herself to her feet. “You seem to believe me to be evil beyond repair, and for that I am deeply sorry.” She approached him, whipping the blood from her mouth before she wrapped her arms around his waist, forgetting her previous pain. “I am terribly sorry you must know me only for the horror I have brought.”
“I have the order to kill you, Reimei...” Akashi whispered, turning slowly around and wrapping his arms around her as well. “I do not want to kill you...”
He rested his chin on her head, the sword dropping to the ground, the blade puncturing the earth and holding it erect. “I know you do not...” Reimei answered softly. She looked up to him, standing on tip toe and pressing her lips to his for a long moment, a tear running down her cheek as she resisted the urge to sob. “Even after all these years…I still love you.” She turned around, his arms still around her, and pulled the sword from the ground, her hands gripping around the blade, and let the tears begin to flood down her cheeks. “Please forgive me...”
The sword pierced her hands and her stomach, entering her belly and then his. The cry of shock that escaped Akashi’s mouth was horrific, his eyes looking down to the top of Reimei’s head as the blood began to stream from the open wounds onto the metallic blade. The two stumbled apart, Reimei falling to her knees in pain, Akashi standing still. Blood began to drip from his lips as he stared at her in horror.
“I loved you...” He managed, before falling to the ground in a pool of blood.
“I know...” Reimei fell side ways, her eyes open only slightly as the remaining bit of energy she had escaped with one last strained breath.
