is it normal if a guy buys his guy best friend a box of chocolates?

it's pretty random but my friend and i just got over a huge fight and it was pretty much my fault,
and iknow he looooves food, especially chocolate and i couldnt think of anything else to get him that would be like, a lot of chocolate.
i wanted to get him something as an apology.

& if you have an idea of something else i could get, let me know :D
i just don't want to walk out of a store and give him a million candy bars.

To be honest, its not really anything that needs to be thought about. Sure, buying chocolates is stereotypically used to be a romantic gift a guy gives to a girl or to say sorry if they had a fight. But really, there's nothing wrong with buying it for your friend, male or female.

Uh... I don't see anything wrong with buying your friend the good that he likes... If I was in a fight with a friend and they ended up buying ME some chocolate, I would love that friend a lot! (I'm straight male btw)
