Something that's been bugging me. Quite a lot actually...

My boyfriend knows I cut, kind of in-avoidable, but, the other day, he came round. He had cuts on his arm... Which made me look twice. He said he was walking and a bush caught his arm... Not sure if I believe him, they look too perfect, too straight. I think he knows I don't believe him, but still.

He also said "I know now why you do it" which pissed me off. Okay, I get it that he wants to understand things but. Just cause he got a few scratches from a tree doesn't mean he knows why I do it, okay he may understand the the rush and release from it.... maybe. But he can't understand the urge, the constant need for it. The everlasting battle against it.

Although, on a plus side, I've not cut in a while.... well, long enough for the old ones to almost heal up...

Sorry. Rant. And, yet again a pointless post :/

My boyfriend says similar things. I think what he means he understands why we do it, not every tiny thing we go through with it.

I'd be grateful if I where you- at least he's trying to understand :)

I understand hoe you feel though, that he's putting what you're going through down. As though it's nothing. Just explain to him that while you are glad he is trying to understand, he will never completley know.
