Girls, I have two hypothetical situations for you.
Some starting information:
*Your name is Jenny Smith.
*You and I are good friends.
*I have feelings for you.
*You are single.
*I have written a song for you. (You don't know it yet.)
*I am going to sing/play it at the school concert. (You are going to be there.)
*The song I have written is non-specific (ie. It doesn't say "Jenny Smith" over and over again... It could be about anyone.)
*I don't want to sound arrogant but the song I have written is my best and it is very non-daggy.
SITUATION 1:
I walk up on stage and say, "This song is dedicated to Jenny Smith." and play the song.
SITUATION 2:
I walk up on stage and say, "This song is dedicated to a perfect girl in the audience." and play the song. You think it might be about you.
How do you feel about each situation? (Embarassing? Romantic? Cute? Lame?)
How would you react to each situation?
Which situation would be preferable?
Help would be apreciated.
