I would say that the feeling you describe is part of the build up to orgasm, but that when you actually ejaculate there is a great feeling of release and that is the orgasm. I guess its all part of the same thing really.

I would say orgasm is the point where it feels brilliant. It also feels in a way like going over the brow of a hill - you've been working up to it and then suddenly you're over the top and starting to relax.

There is a kind of tingly feeling that comes immediately before orgasm which maybe what you refer to.

Usually orgasm happens at the same time as ejaculation but they can also be separated, for example you can start to ejaculate and still feel you are building towards a climax that actually happens almost as you stop ejaculating.

The orgasm is the rhythmic pulsing of the muscles... This is also what causes the ejaculation.

I always thought it was when you actually ejaculate and its the feeling that comes with that. The feelings leading up to it I didn't think were the actual orgasm - I call that being "close".
