Messed up family

The other night the subject of "is being gay ok"came up (idk how) but during that little discussion I found out my family is totally homophobic and think it is just "un natural" now I think that being gay is a personal choice and it's totally fine and once I heard them say that they were against homosexuality I was pissed.....i pretty much told them that they were homophobic and they disgust me....they think I'm totally weird for believing in homosexuality.......prob should have kept my mouth shut......

Well that's a hard subject to bring up. Their entitled to their opinions, as you are entitled to yours. It's best just to leave it alone. People usually are against homosexuality because of their religion, and really there isn't anything you can do. You can probably tell them, you brought me up to not judge people, so why can't you do the same?

They arnt religious they just think homosexuality is dirty, un natural and screwed up..........

Like I said, many people just have their certain views on things. My advice to you, is that you explain to them, that I was brought up to accept everyone, regardless of their skin, religion, in this case, sexual choice.
