I'm sorry if you are disturbed by this story, but please refrain from commenting on how gross this is. If you think it's gross, how do you think I feel? I don't need to hear about how disgusting you think it is as it already haunts me greatly. I would also prefer that someone who knows about sperm and how they live and die would comment.

I think I might have impregnanted my mom...

I was jerking off, then I went to the shower to wash and in my house we use a sponge to clean ourselves. So, I clean the "area" with the sponge. I became really paranoid that some semen may have been left on the sponge or bathtub as I was cleaning. So I wash the sponge. Twice. I also run it down with some cold water to destroy any sperm left on it. I even switch the sponges to ensure nothing happens.

I don't know what to do right now. I myself don't really think I impregnated her. But there is that slim chance, and since pregnancy symptoms take weeks to show up, I don't know what else to do right now but wait.

I'm sorry if it's the wrong place to post things like this. I wasn't sure where to put it. I guess I'm just asking for reassurance right now.

im pritty sure u didnt dude unless she masterbated with the sponge and even then theres an almost 0 chance that it could impregnate her so idk much on how long sperm live but still i think it would be realy hard to impregnate her unless u had sex with her but like you said theres realy nothing to do but to wait and see. good luck

When we get thoughts that scare us, they can sometimes lurk for a long time. We can become paranoid, and worry about things that really have no chance at all of happening.

Think about it this way, when you have sex with a girl, millions of sperm are released into her body. Chances are only one sperm will reach the egg and fertilise it, even the chance of that one sperm reaching it is pretty small. You cleaned the sponge several times. I'd say most if not all of your sperm where washed off that sponge.

You are also assuming your mum is not on any form of contraception. Although it's not nice to think about, most people's parents are still having sex and therefore there is most likly contraception involved.

You are also assuming your mother used the sponge to wash herself... there. Even if she did, the fact that it wouldn't have gone in side makes it very unlikly that any sperm could enter her body.

There are so many reasons that this wouldn't have happened. I really wouldn't worry about it if I where you. There is more to life than worrying about what might be :)

You're assuming she puts the sponge up her vagina - and somehow gets sperm on the surface deep enough to fertilize an egg and that any sperm remain alive - unlikely, very very unlikely man. And seriously buy your own bloody sponge.

Sperm does not normally survive for longer than about 30 minutes outside of the body. As you didnt ejaculate directly onto the sponge but were only using it as part of washing afterwards its unlikely that all that much semen will have got onto the sponge anyway, and soap enzymes would kill the sperm pretty quickly. I think its pretty unlikely that you mum puts the sponge inside her vagina, and if you think she does that I would not want to use that sponge!
