ok if you think about it, (I am not calling one gender superior to the other) If there are lesbians, girls aren't upset about it, because they KNOW who they are, not just rumors. When it comes to gay men, guys think we just want to rape them, or get them naked and go down on them(I'm not suggesting, this is something i heard) Girls also know that if there are more lesbians, there are less girls trying to steal their men(heard from a friend when she thought i was straight) Guys like lesbians, because they think they may have a chance at having sex with BOTH of them...the idiots...lol(jk) again, all this i heard from individual friends...

If I'm correct, most homophobes are heterosexual male, and usually they have feelings of homophobia towards gay males. On the other hand, such homophobes may find lesbians "hot", most likely because if one girl = hot, then two girls = doubly hot (this is purely conjecture on my part, as I have never been a heterosexual male). The same often applies to girls, heterosexual females have been known to be fans of homoerotic content featuring two males (as seen in the cult followings of yaoi ((ie gay pairings)) common among female fans of anime). The main difference is that heterosexual females are on the whole less homophobic of lesbians than heterosexual males are to homosexual males. (This of course is an extremely broad generalization though)

It's because men are seen as the superior and are thought to be in the "norm" of society. They see men as being the "tough" guy with the good job and wife with kids. Women aren't looked down upon so much because they were the opposite of men... So the majority of people don't find it as disgusting to see lesbian women than gay men. I on the other don't give a shit. People should just be themselves.
