OMG!my parents wont let me have privacy at all.my mom especially,seriously am not even allowed to lock my door.so my parents just march in when they want to!!.Come on that aint right i cant take it any longer and what is up with the-the how was your day question-it drives me nuts.help me!i dont what to do!!!

Well it is their house. They do make the rules. Maybe you can talk to them about privacy. Explain to them that you are growing up, and you feel that you should be able to have a little bit more privacy. If they say no, then the answer is no. Your parents don't hate you, they just want what is right for you.

Discuss it with them. Be sure to tell them why you feel you need privacy, and how you'd want that to be fixed. They were young once, too.

I know what you mean. My mom's is like that as well, but my door doesn't have a lock. Just tell them why you need the privacy and all you want is to have the permission to lock your door and if not that, for them at least to knock on the door because the house may be theirs but I'm sure they wouldn't want you coming in on them when they're having an private conversation or something on those lines, so mention that and maybe they'll change their mind. My mom just laughs when I mention that I need privacy for my self.
