Earlier i went to the doctors,
And you know what i was so worked up, so convinced it was going to be bad.
It really wasn't.
He just asked me why and to show him.
Also he said do i have any other issues and i mentioned my weird relationship with food and he weighed me. He has linked me up with a support group that specialise in psychologial problems. And i will have to talk to somebody in more detail so they can get me specialised counselling.
He gave me a number of a helpline too.
Guys if you are too scared to go to the doctors i want to reassure you, its not bad at all! And it might get you the help you need :)

Well done for having the courage to do it!
I've been thinking of telling my mum for a while now, just never had the courage, but this gives me a little bit more hope :P

Thats good, I know you and do this Kathy its just a case of when :whoops:
Fran I'm so pleased fo you, you gonna get the help you need now. The only way from here is up right ;)
Anyone scared of going to the docs or telling you rents or anyone for that matter. Just look at Fran and how un-scary it is. Doing things this way is so much better than being found when you are in a bad way.

I'm so proud of you. Not that many people have the guts to explain that sort of thing to doctors. I wish you good luck.

Great job on getting help.
For me it depends on how much i trust them, like my GP gets the sadistic cat story but my hearing specialist of 4 years would get the truth.

Great Job :D - No need to be scared of doctors they are there to help. Dentists on the other hand ... Only Joking. They are all there to help you. Great Job of having the courage to go and see him.

I do that all the time too! I work myself up so much that I scare myself out of going in the first place. Chances are, its only as bad as you make it out ot be. My doctor also asked to show her the cuts and she poked and proded at them a little bit but nothing serious. They just want to find out what the core of your problems are so they can begin to help you. I just recently got out of the hospital for my scratching/anxiety/depression, and it seriously was the best thing to ever happen to me. Getting the courage to go to the doctors is the hardest part of it all, dealing with the aftermath is also hard, but it's all to help YOU get better. I thought I was the only one who thought this way but I'm so glad you do too. I almost felt kind of like a hypocrite because I was so petrefied of them before and now it's almost like I cannot wait to go.
Stay Positive :)
