In case you don't know what that is, it's when you take college classes in your Jr and Sr year and they count both for HS and college credit. I emaild back and forth with one canadian guy who had 36 hours by the time he finished HS and they all filled his HS requirments as well! That means when he graduated HS he was a college sophomore! Louisiana lets you take 2 classes a year for free, but I think you might have to buy book$$$ and college textbooks ar usualy over $100 each
Has anyone taken any?
Which ones?
Did you take them at your HS, or were they at a college campus?
How Many credits do you have?
How many do you plan on having whan you graduate?

You can get used textbooks.

I've signed up for dual enrollment Intro to Sociology. My school doesn't offer a lot of dual enrollment core classes (I can't take an english or a calc class =( ) so I took what was there and not stupid

I have taken many Duel crdit classes. I am currently enrolled at a University but most of my classes are at my high school and are taught by teachers with a master's degree or higher. I currently have my associate's degree in Applied Science and I have a total of 30 hours. I have taken duel math, science, social studies and english. I also have taken EMT-Basic and Phlebotomy and Medical Terminology. I will have a total of about 35 credit hours when I graduate from high school.

I was offered the opportunity to enroll, but I declined. Too much work, and I'd really rather be out living my life at 16, and not be stuck inside with my nose in a textbook for hours a day.

Has anyone taken any? I've taken about 25 credits as of now.
Which ones? West. Civs., Eng. Comp., Pre-Calculus, Government, Psychology, etc.
Did you take them at your HS, or were they at a college campus? They were at a local community college.
How Many credits do you have? See above.
How many do you plan on having whan you graduate? Go straight onto a four year university.

So, in my state, the law is that you cannot be a full-time high school student and a full-time college student (12 credit hours and more) at the same time. This is so that the federal funds don't go to both schools (double dipping). However, I started as a second semester sophomore with special permission and am now a senior and I will be a sophomore equivalent when I start out in university. I highly recommend this option. For me, I had to self pay some courses if I hadn't already taken them at my high school. However, I thought it was well worth it. Also, if my high school didn't offer the class, they had to pay for me to take it at the college and they paid for my books if they paid for the class.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. :)

That usually saves you about 25%, plus they nkeep puting out new aditions to kill used books. My chem text was $120, but I found one on craigslist for $50. It was 1 addition back.
the prof said she couldn't say it was OK, but siad she had JUST gotm the new one so all lectures were from the older one. She said she couldn't OK me to not get the requiredtext though. It's fine though. Precal text comes with an access code to MyMathLab.com were you have to do homework. If you buy used, you have to buy a new code. $79 in the bookstore, $69 on amazon
My criminal justice system (a Social Sci requirment, Im an engineeing major)text was $116 new, I think I paid $70 used.

Most states require 60 hrs for an associate's degree. How can you get one with 30 hrs?
