So, I'm 14 and I want your opinion on something. Is it weird to go out with someone 3 years younger then you? I really like her and vice versa. Please give tour own opinion! Thx =D

That's sounds pretty young for the age you guys are in.

It depends on the age. If you're 14, the other person is probably 11. That doesn't seem right to me.

When you're older, 3 years is nothing. However when you're growing up, it seems like a much larger gap. 11 and 14 is a much bigger gap than 23 and 26, if you get what I mean. I don't think it's quite an appropriate match.

It really depends on both of you. Take in count that girls reach mental maturity before boys do. I know couples which are 21 and 13 (it's illegal btw).
My point is, that if you ask it people will tell that it's possible, whereas if she asks it, people will tell her to stay away.
I'll be honest with you - In the eyes of many people it will look really inappropriate, but it depends on you - if you really like each other, and mentally, the same age, it can work... But again, it's a pretty big gap...
Good luck :)

Honestly 3 years in most cases is nothing,
but
14 and 11 and realllly different ages, it doesn't matter how fast girls mature more than guys.
You are both in different phases in puberty.

Well you also have to understand that when I say "going out" I mean it very light heartedly. I mean, we haven't ever kissed, or even hugged each other for that matter. We where really good friends to begin with, and nothing has really changed in our friendship. So, not sure if you could even call it dating. Yeah, facebook relationship status changes, but not much else. But thank you guys that did reply, your advice is greatly appreciated =D

Well I'm 14 and my girlfriend is 16... it all depends on how you act and not what age you are. The being said, you are 14 and she is 11... has she even started puberty yet? And if you haven't even hugged her, how are you going out with her? Just my opinion, but I'd say stick to being friends...

I'm agreeing with the general consensus in the thread and saying that at your guys' ages, a 3-year gap is too much. Once you get to be in your early to mid 20's, a gap that size ceases to be an issue. But there are simply too many differences in your developing bodies and minds for this to viable at the moment.

Well...
You two are in different stages of development... I mean: You're halfway through puberty and he's barely starting it. I think that a good rule of thumb (vulgar, though it may be) is to only date people who you can legaly have sex with.
In Australia the law is that, if you are under 18, you are not allowed to have sex with anyone unless they are no more than 2 years older/younger than you. Also no sex below 12... so... Yeah... I wouldn't recommend it...

It would be alright if she was at leat 14, at 11 you're less aware about relationships and it would be hard for her to give you the relationship you want, plus i think 11 is way too young to date.
