is a project that was done by roadrunner records and the bands on their label
they took 56 artists from 45 different bands and put them together to do this cd. this means every other song has different guitarists, bassists, drummers, and vocalist. here is one of the songs they did. very good album. its not on itunes and idkk if you can buy it in a music store near you but if you google it you should be able to find it. roadrunner has a lot of bands that you know of on their label including fear factory, slipknot, trivium, nicleback, dragonforce, korn and a lot of other bands

Road runner first of all, has nickleback, so I can't respect them at all.

It's funny because listening to that song it sounds like every other generic metalcore song you hear, but the only difference is the chorus vocals are clean, but that just makes me take the song less seriously.

Wow, the track "The Enemy" has some of the worst guitar work I've ever heard in metal music.

"Annihilation By The Hands Of God" so far is the only track I'm liking. Probably because of Rob Barett, but holy shit. THE DRUMS SUCK FUCKING ASS. Wait. That makes sense, it's a fucking slipknot drummer. Leave it to slipknot to ruin the song!

Meh ok vocals on "In The Fire". I'm still feeling like all these songs have the same feeling on guitar and drum work. The bass is lacking in this song incredibly.

"The End" seems like any alternative rock song you'd find on the radio. Nothing important to see hear. Generic verse chorus verse chorus x2

"Tired 'N Lonely" holy fuck. What's with the annoying keyboard work at the beginning? Guitar work is pretty wanking boring and vocals are pretty bad. Why the fuck did they bring that keyboard part back again?

"Independent" is the only track that is meh so far for me and isn't incredibly shitty like the rest. The vocals aren't doing it for me after the "WOH WOH WOH" part at two minutes. Nice guitar work later on though, but I feel like drums are lacking a bit.

"Dawn of a Golden Age". To be honest, this track is boring me. The guitar wankery solo is bad. I like how they try to throw in that piano work half way in, but it makes it brings on the cheese factor.

"The Rich Man". Well, I hate Corey Taylor with a burning piss passion more than the lead man of nickelback himself, so this track was already calling itself shit. Well, this song was exactly what I thought it would be. Trying to be dramatic and angry, but just being really angsty like a thirteen year old's poems about 'pain and sadness'. Worse song on the album so far.

"No Way Out". Come on! Why does slipknot have to keep ruining the drums? Why is the guy from glassjaw even thinking of joining in on this project? He just does not fit with the type of music this album is trying to make.

"Baptized in the Redemption". Wait? Haven't I heard this track before a couple times already? See, this is the problem with most thrash and heavy metal - it all sounds the same and doesn't will itself to experiment or do anything different.

- There's only so much you can do with a song with "Verse, Chorus, Verse, Chorus Chorus, along with a guitar solo two third through the song. Eventually, you'll start repeating yourself." -

"Roads". It's short, which pisses me off because it's the only damn track on the album I like. Probably because the song has Mikael Åkerfeldt in it, who's probably the only experimental artist on road runner records.

Couldn't find "Blood & Flames".

"Constitution Down". Slipknot guy ruins drums again. Seriously this guy, no fucking joke, needs to just shove his head in a wood chipper. This album could be allot better without members of slipknot on it.

"I Don't Wanna Be (A Superhero)". Change my mind. This is the worst track so far. Everything about this song is bad. Just really, really bad.

"Army of the Sun". I like the vocals on this track and this is probably the second only decent song I've listened to on here so far.

"Enemy Of The State". Don't bash me for this, but I've always hated Peter Steele's vocals. Really think this song is boring and just makes me go, "WHY?"

Overral, I give the album a 1.5 out 5. The songs get really repetitive, even with the amount of different artists on this album, which is a really really bad thing. It pretty much says that allot of these artists sound mostly the same and aren't much different from the other. I've said this before, but the members of Slipknot shouldn't of been on that. If they weren't and they replaced those couple songs with a drummer and that other song with a different vocalist, the album would get a 2 for me. But there's no way I ever plan on listening to this garbage ever again.

Peace out,

Deadpie.

joey jordison plays bass not drums on the song no way out
and i wont say anything about yr opinions because they are your opinions
and you left out the song the dagger which has some good guitar work if you listen to the solo and the bridge also i think the lyrics in no mas control are creative because theres a different language thrown in there no "mas" meaning more

Oops. Well, I'm too lazy to go listen to it but I'm pretty sure it's like most of the tracks on the album.

This might be a cool release if it came from a record label whose artists didn't all suck.

I supported some Roadrunner act on their first UK tour last year and can honestly say that they were some of the rudest people I've ever met, so that's going to bias my opinion somewhat.

I remember hearing "The End" on Kerrang about six years ago and quite liked it at the time but that weird effect they've got on the vocals really, really irritates me. So does that plinky-plonky guitar.

It's not truly a bad record, if you're into that sort of thing, but it's not fantastic either. I'd say these guys need to stick to their own bands.

In Roadrunners defense, they have the Dresden Dolls, my guilty pleasure. Say what you will but they're fucking amazing.

EDIT: Upon listening to The End again, I cant help but wonder, what the hell is up with those lyrics? "I cannot believe that I had insomnia?" Come on, guys.
