Would you go to school just to learn. If you didn't have to worry about your GPA? Just to learn?

I guess I would. I've known people that just went to school to eat free lunch. So...

If I could choose the classes that I felt were important to me, yes.

Yes I would.

Yeah, only if I could choose my classes (we're talking public school, yes?) If not, I would have dropped out a long time ago if public school had nothing to do with my future.

Not really. Most of the things I know, I know myself. I'm the kind of guy my friends refer to as knowledgeable, since I really love history. So, I took it as an A-level class and found it boring as hell. Don't give a rats arse about Charles II. Northern Ireland's interesting but there's more interesting parts to it than the stuff on the syllabus.

I stay in school for social reasons and even then, I only take two subjects so I'm hardly in there at all.

If I got to pick the teachers and subjects I would. I love to learn, but I just hate when the teachers just drone on and on. Well that and waking up at 5:30 everyday. But I do like to learn, so I probably would still go just so I can be intelligent.

i believe learning is a continuous process which never ends till we die...so we better think of getting some better GPA. :)

Exactly.
And what would you do besides going to school? Whenever I don't go to school I feel very bored.

But when I think for a moment, I think I don't need school. I know almost all major countries' history, their culture. My geography knowledge is second to none, I love literature and I know a lot about it. I am not a master at maths but still it is enough,
Eventually, I go to school because the diploma will help me get into a job in the future

If I got to pick the subjects I did and the teachers who taught me, I suppose I probably would. School develops a person not just academically, but socially and things like that. It shouldn't only be for qualifications.

I have to worry about my G.P.A, all classes are really difficult. Colleges always scrutinize you.
