Has anyone found help lines useless, I said i felt like self harming and they asked why i told then it made my feel real and alive. this is what i got back.
It's good that you feel you can reach out for support during this time. It sounds like you are self harming to feel real.
So they just repeated what i said. sorry not helping

I have, they were as useless as whoever you rang, they told me "it's good you feel you can talk but I'm not going to tell you not to cut" what's the point in that?!
Don't let this put you of seeking help though you'll be able to find something that works for you! :)

They can be helpful for some people. I never used them, but it gives you someone to talk to.

I've never used a help line before, I'm too afraid they'll trace the call and the police will bang down my door, and I'll be locked in a psych ward. However I've always wanted to try and call them. I've heard they have helped some people, just not me personally, because I've never tried. xp

I've tried childline 1-2-1 chat. it's an internet msn type chat thing. It helped a bit I suppose.
