for me i can relate to the main girl in it to me it seems like through her life shes been a reject which is how i have felt before and i can relate to self harm part and this song says to me no matter what im perfect the way i am

I hope you realize that mainstream artists just make their lyrical themes generic and easy to relate to to appeal to the greatest number of people instead of actually providing something unique and insightful. You relate to it because that's how they marketed it. I just can't stand music most teenagers listen to because the meanings always seem to boil down to the same repetitive bullshit like:

"you're different but that's okay"
"you shouldn't care what other people think"
"your girl/boyfriend broke up with you and that hurts"
"love is good"
"your friends will always be there for you"

That shit gets really fucking boring really quickly.

Edit: Also, no one is perfect the way they are. It's lazy and pitiful to simply become complacent with things you may be lacking in: It's far better, in life, to constantly work to improve yourself.

I knew as soon as i saw the vid the other daya that someone would make a post :)

Personally I just listen to it because it's P!nk. I don't like the fact it sounds more popy than rocky compared to her recent tracks but hey it's still good to me.
