Why do [some] of you bash homosexuals? this is a legit curiosity of mine...i'm sorry if i am breaking rules, but i think this kinda deals with sexuality...anyway, why do people think that homosexuality is worthy of "eradication"?

Hey,
I personally have no problem with homosexuals (I find that some homosexual relationships are more full of real love than some heterosexual relationships). I think people who are against homosexual relationships are people who don't really understand what it means to be homosexual. I have plenty of great, funny, awesome homosexual friends at school. They are just like everyone else!
Hope this helps!

Some people by their personal views, or by their religious values, do not agree with homosexuality.
I think it's stupid to hate someone, over something they really can't change.

Sadly, some people are just fucking morons.
They are not born that way, it's what happens to them as they grow up in an environment populated by other fucking morons.
If you take this incredible level of stupidity and combine it with something equally irrelevant, but highly poisonous, like religous bigotry then you have a large number of fucking morons. This drives the sort of ignorance and intolerance that we then face as we go about our lives.

For some its religion, they see a gay person as someone who is a sinner and is going to Hell.
Others think that it is wrong, it is not how life works, God or not, mother nature tends to like Male/Female relationships, otherwise, how would a species stay around if it wasn't natural instinct to have sex with the opposite gender?
Others still are just annoyed by the flamboyant ones, the ones with the weird looking clothes, and voices and whatnot.
Lastly, I have seen people hate gays because of Marriage. And I can see this. I mean, a marriage is between a man and a women for pretty much ever. The notion that men can marry men and women with women is completely against all of history and its something that straight people, as well as religious people, have that is special and sacred to them. If they let gays marry, whats the point of marriage? The "magic", for lack of a better term, is lost.

So because people are straight, they can have the joy of being married, divorced, abused, or just married for money, etc...but a gay couple that ONLY want to be formally tied to each other, and experience that same JOY, can't? What is the point of marriage, being sacred, if gays cant experience the same thing? Is that like saying, oh you are different...you can't be happy like us?

I'm heteroromantic, not heterosexual, but I don't bash gays.
Homosexuality is much more accepted nowadays, however, there's no denying that some people out there are just fucking morons.
It's a mixture of things I guess- religion, still-fading anti-gay opinions from the past (these are often passed of from parent to child unconsciously), influence of friends/area they live, a nonsensical fear of 'becoming' gay.
It all makes no sense to me, but hey.

I have no objection to gay/lesbian people. Its just some people cant accept that some people are attracted to the same sex. I think homosexual people get far too much hassle for just being individual. Lets face it if we were all the same the world would be very boring

I'd post a joke, but it's been a while since I've posted and have no idea how serious the mods are these days.
Anyway, some people are just brought up with the mindset that being straight is normal, and that being gay makes you a freak. For others it's religion. One of my friends grew up in a fairly catholic home, and when she first started realizing she was gay she started hating herself, and lashing out at other gay people. Eventually she came to terms with who she was, and now she's a-ok with everything. So, it's different for everyone. Usually though, it's mostly just a lack of knowledge or experience about homosexuality in general.
