Vietnam just because the country side would look nice. I don't know a whole lot about these countries' politics, so y'know, I can't give an amazing opinion.
Oh, I didn't see Pakistan on there. I was reading about them earlier, and they don't seem that bad.

It was between Vietnam and Venezuala. I chose Vietnam for the food and because the countryside would look amazing, plus the Top Gear team didn't have too much hassle in it which apart from the war is the only close to documentary thing i've seen of it.
Vietnam is being raped for oil and people randomly kidnap you at gunpoint on the highstreet, plus i'm white... Deffinate no, no.

Cuba has the highest HDI (Human Development Index) ranking, at 51st (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_Human_Development_Index), and is relatively stable. I'd live there.
Cuba has a 99.8% literacy rate, an infant death rate lower than some developed countries, and an average life expectancy of 77.64. In 2006, Cuba was the only nation in the world which met the WWF's definition of sustainable development; having an ecological footprint of less than 1.8 hectares per capita and a Human Development Index of over 0.8 for 2007.

That really defeats the purpose of this poll, don't you think?

Apart from the fact that we're politically unstable, we have nukes aimed at India (and them at us), we are constantly in a state of tension in the disputed region of Kashmir, our judges are too scared to sentence a man who murdered a governor because of the man's support by the general public, there is a law on execution for mere blasphemy, we've recently have the floods which the Taliban have yet to use to their advantage, our cricket players bowl no-balls for money, our government tried to use a nonexistent Wikileaks cable to blame India for starting war, we've had six states of emergency/martial law declared under one president who came into power via military, we've had a shit president before him who completely destroyed the sense of liberty, our current liberal politicans are being driven out of the country one by one, American drones are killing over twenty civilians per terrorist, our intelligence agency (which is the real, real, original definition of an oxymoron) secretly supports the Taliban in the hope of gaining some sort of control over Afghanistan and openly denies this fact, we've lost all the wars we started, our military oppressed thousands of civilians in East Pakistan (what is now Bangladesh) because the West refused to let the government be based there...
And that's just, just, just scraping the surface. We were doomed since Jinnah died a year after independence.

See, my skimming session did not include this, but compared to some countries, like North Korea, it isn't that bad. Now, I'm no expert on world affairs or countries past Europe, for the most part, so my statement was lightly loose. I guess I just don't want to believe that the Middle East and West Asia are in that much turmoil since I like Middle Eastern culture, excluding Islam.

Well I picked the west bank/Gaza Strip because it has a democratic system of governance, the arab world feels sorry for it and its very close to Europe. Thats good for being an asylum seeker. Only con really is the constant threat of Israel and hamas going at war again.
