Well i got a fucking virus yesterday around 23.00 then been awake till 02.00 to fix it didn't succed, today i continued the job from 10.00 to 15.00 and i think i fixed it,anyway to describe,it was a virus that opens thousands of reg.exe processes in the task manager and slows my computer down totally...actually i have 2 acounts on my comp and i fixed that on this account but nothing fixed on the other,i fixed this by going safe mode and using full scan in avast and loads of other small programs, and after the whole proces...damage is...:i dont have a shut down button,it wont enter recycle bin at all including both icon, explorer or task manager, lots of programs don't work, windows media player doesn't want to install itself, and plenty more...so what do you think i should do?i think that i should reinstall the whole comp again and upgrade my os to windows 7,i'm xp currently...

Generally, if there's nothing real important on the computer, wiping it clean and starting fresh is generally the lesser of the two headaches.

If you want to try and fix the computer without starting fresh, then I'd recommend booting into Safe Mode, then logging into the hidden Administrator account (Unless someone has disabled it), then installing Microsoft Security Essentials, and running a full system scan with that. MSE has an odd knack for wiping those pesky bugs that the 'better' (A term I prefer not to use, but most other 'techies' use it. (*Note: Not /actual/ techies, but the vast majority of the 'tech community' who just read & regurgitate what a few people say)) scanners and programs just can't seem to get.

As long as there's nothing really important on it, I'd wipe it and start fresh. Sounds like it's gonna be more trouble to fix the virus than just do a reinstall.
