View Full Version : Hey Kiddos! Why not help uncle Origami design a T-shirt?

So, I was unwillingly volunteered by my senior class president, as well as the student body president to design this year's spirit shirt. Do I want to? No, but sadly I'm the only one in the entire school capable of using Photoshop to create this. So, I have a few limitations: three colors- black, white, gold. I can't use shading because it creates more colors. "It can't suck." Student rejected ideas are numerous as this teacher is picky. Timeline: I have until tomorrow to make it, soooo, SUBMIT BITCHES!

Thank you! :)

Concepts so far:

It looks good, but the only thing that bothers me is that the flakes are all on the right, and not on the left. Balance, people, balance.

But, since you are Oregano, you will as usually make a up a counterargument/excuse/whatever and reject my idea, obviously.

It's a defrag effect, ie- the fragments are flying. It flows better, plus if I did the on both sides it would "explode" upward and just wouldn't look quite as appealing.

If you want to provide your example all the resources are:
Old Republic font - 120pt (50px spacing)
SF Movie Poster font - 30pt (1400px spacing)
Photoshop Square default brushes 1px - 11px.
And Filter> Distort> Polar Coordinates: Default.

To be able to suggest meaningful concepts, we'd first need to know what "BHS" means, what is the spirit behind "Wildcats" (and who the heck are wildcats anyway?) and what is the actual feeling you are supposed to carry through your t-shirts.

There is much more in designing a brand than just a name and a color palette...

A brand? You clearly didn't read the OP thoroughly. xD

This is a shirt for my high school.
BHS -> Blacksburg High School. So the acronym doesn't REALLY need to be explained.
What's the spirit behind "Wildcats?" Just apply any High School spirit, it's all roughly the same.

By "brand", I meant "the name of an organization that you want to get recognized". Sorry if my non-native English is limited. And I don't think I have ever jump-read posts.

For you and those wearing the T-shirts, of course not. But I don't have any battery left for my mind-reading device, so I thought asking was not that much stupid. Obviously I was wrong.

My apologizes for the stupid questions - obviously, I should better stop typing them, step away and let the space clear for the experts of the field.

Sarcasm is bitter is lulz.

Nonetheless, I'm retiring this thread as it's nearly due date. I designed twelve separate creations, all will be submitted in the AM.
